The old saying “It takes a village to raise a child.” Well, you can also say “It takes a village to race a car.” One car with 4-5 drivers and crew is not a lot especially for these 2-day and 24 hour races. We want to introduce you to our team. They are a great group of guys.
MEET THE TEAM:

Kyle

Kyle Robinson is the co-founder of Dog Bite Racing. He is the legend who was bitten in the face creating the team name Dog Bite Racing. Kyle is our lead mechanic. He is the one who leads us through the toughest repairs we can have as a team. With his creative approach to fixing mechanical issues and following through on upgrades, Dog Bite Racing creates our victories.
Kyle stated what his goals are with Dog Bite Racing and what keeps him motivated.
“My name is Kyle Robinson. I’m 25 years old, and I’m a Project Manager for a Pavement Preservation Contractor. If I’m not working, I’m consumed with Racing. I’m the Co-Founder and Head Mechanic for DOG BITE RACING. Of course, I really love racing, but one thing that is unique to me with Dog Bite Racing is the time spent in the shop. Everything done to Clifford has been done in-house. Every idea and concept is possible when working together. No troubleshooting is too difficult and no task too tall when you work with a solid team. I know in the future, I’ll miss these times. My main goal with DOG BITE RACING is to continue racing with my buddies and my dad for as long as we can. Life is moving fast, but racing is faster. Long Live DOG BITE RACING”

“Thomas Schooling is the founder of Dog Bite Racing. He is relentless with his hustle, bettering the team every day. Thomas is our Crew Chief, Social Media Manager, and Sponsorship Coordinator. Thomas always keeps the team on track and continues to raise the standards and values we live by. Without Thomas there is no Dog Bite Racing. Love you Tommy” -Kyle
Thomas talks about what drove him to Dog Bite Racing
“My name is Thomas Schooling, and I am 25 years old. I am a wind turbine technician in northern Colorado. I am the co-founder and crew chief of Dog Bite Racing. Growing up, I have always loved cars. My father has a 1966 Ford Mustang that entranced me from a very young age. That passion for vehicles has always been a core part of me. I did not grow up in a motorsports family, but it has always piqued my interest. I have always wanted to be the guy who can fix and build anything. As a child, I enjoyed taking things apart and being creative with building things. The racing bug didn’t get me until later in life. In high school, I ran track and cross country. Those two sports created my passion for racing. Coming out of high school, I knew I wanted to build something cool. I campaigned to my friends to build a Lemons car. After years of trying to figure things out, Kyle and I said screw it, we are building a car. We found a 1999 Crown Vic, and we started building. Years later, Dog Bite Racing has grown into this amazing program. Racing to me, is living my dreams. Racing is cars, building, solving problems, and hanging with my best friends. What is better than that? My goals for Dog Bite are to constantly progress our skills on and off the track, to be unbeatable in our systematic approach to solving problems. My personal racing goals are to race a NASA Prototype in a 24-hour race. Overall, my goals in life are to be That Guy, as I will call it. You know what I am saying? I really could not do all this without the support of my beautiful fiancé, Nicole, my amazing parents, and the amazing guys on the team. I love all you guys and thank you for supporting my dreams.”

Cory Robinson is our senior driver, who is the steady hand. He is the team cheerleader when we are down. His wisdom has led us to follow success with phrases like “cool heads will prevail”. Cory’s impact on the team is rooted in the team’s spirit.
These are some of the comments he has about the Dog Bite Racing:
Hello there. I’m Cory Robinson, Kyle’s proud father. I work in Asset Management and Commercial Property Management, along with handling the outsourced financial management of some fraternities and landlords in Boulder, Colorado. I do Real Estate brokerage and manage our own real estate with my wife of almost 30 years, Stacy Robinson. My greatest pleasure and privilege in life have been to raise two amazing young men, Kyle and Ryan with my amazing wife and mother Stacy.
Kyle has come a long way as a mechanic since he cut the muffler off a beautiful GMC Yukon XL with a freshly rebuilt engine he was given when he started driving. We had no idea at the time what a wrencher he would become as he went about modifying it to his specifications.
He got into racing when he and his buddy Tommy acquired a 1999 Crown Victoria Police Interceptor from Fort Collins with actual bullet holes, from an owner whose pit bull bit his face. When he and Tommy went about converting it into a race car, I was thrilled to get involved as one of the drivers.
It has been an amazing experience, not just for the thrill of driving, but to have the time and connection with my son and his buddies who are tremendous young men. It is amazing to watch the things they can do and the way they solve problems. I know they are all going to be great men, dads and husbands.
Know what I’m saying?
“Life is GOOD.“
-Cory

Keaton Brumfield is one of the driving talents behind Dog Bite Racing. He has a natural ability to get into almost anything and immediately find speed. His talents extend far beyond the driver’s seat. A skilled craftsman with a sharp eye for detail, Keaton is invaluable around the shop, helping weld, fabricate, and bring ideas to life.
Keaton talks about his journey to Dog Bite Racing
My name is Keaton. I was born in 2000, and I’ve been a driver and helper with Dog Bite Racing for the past three years. I’ve loved every moment of it. I grew up in a racing family where cars were a huge part of life. My grandfather on my mom’s side built dragsters starting in the 1960s, and my mom grew up helping him by welding and working on race cars in the shop. My dad spent 16 years building high-performance crankshafts, developing incredible machining skills. We were always tinkering, modifying RC cars, and making stronger parts from aluminum.
My grandfather retired from the Army as a Staff Sergeant and was known as an exceptional driver. All of that taught me to respect vehicles and appreciate the work that goes into them. In high school, I worked at a golf course maintaining carts, gaining confidence behind the wheel. Once I got my license, I drove every chance I had. When my first car’s transmission failed, I had to sell it, despite its sentimental value. That experience taught me to never give up on a car until it’s truly beyond repair. I bought my next car for $500, planning to fix and sell it.
Seven years later, I still own it. It became my platform for learning drifting, manual swaps, and working without fear of breaking something expensive. I also began helping friends with engine swaps and diagnostics.
Three years ago, Kyle reached out about a project with Tommy. After moving back to Colorado, I became more involved with Dog Bite Racing, and it’s been one of the best experiences of my life. My immediate goal is to start a business building carbon fiber and custom fabrication parts for high-performance cars. Long term, I want to compete in other forms of racing, with the dream of becoming an F1 driver. One day, I have to complete a night stint in the 24 Hours of Nürburgring and drive my own daily-built car there myself
